The Role:

SÜPRMARKT is seeking a talented and dedicated Kitchen Manager. As the Kitchen Manager of our vegan market, you will play a crucial role in creating delicious, nutritious, and innovative plant-based meals that cater to our diverse community. You will be responsible for recipe development, food preparation, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and contributing to the overall success of our market.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create a variety of vegan recipes that showcase fresh, locally sourced ingredients
  • Bring creativity and innovation to the kitchen, continuously exploring new flavors, techniques, and presentation styles
  • Prepare and cook a wide range of plant-based dishes with precision and attention to detail, ensuring consistency and quality
  • Accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences, including gluten-free, soy-free, and nut-free options, while maintaining the integrity of each dish
  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including delegating tasks to the kitchen staff to ensure successful food preparation, cooking, plating, and cleaning, while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen inventory levels, order ingredients as needed, and minimize food waste through efficient kitchen practices
  • Work closely with the SÜPRMARKT team to ensure seamless coordination between the kitchen and other departments, including front-of-house staff and management
  • Engage with customers to provide information about our vegan offerings, answer questions, and solicit feedback to improve the dining experience
  • Represent SÜPRMARKT at community events, workshops, and culinary demonstrations to promote our mission and foster relationships with local residents and organizations
  • Other duties as directed by management.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager/Kitchen Manager, preferably in a vegan or plant-based kitchen environment
  • Creative flair and ability to develop innovative and appealing vegan recipes
  • Strong passion for plant-based cuisine and a commitment to promoting healthy living
